Here are 5 different phots that I have taken over the last past week. I used the different creative devices to help me capture these pictures. Some of the pictures may not fit with the creative device that I think they are, but thats just how I see them.
Andre Meridth relaxing in the hot tub after a ong workout. In this photo Andre is in the hot tub after a football workout and you can tell in his face that he is relaxing. His face makes you wonder about what he is thinking about. I took this photo because he was in the hot tub by himself and I figured that I can focus just on him. http://uwsportsmed.com/ The creative device I used for this is framing.
Chase Appleby, a tired young man sleeps on the couch. I decided to take this photo because I caught Chase sleeping on the couch and it looks like he is exhausted ! Maybe from having class all day long. I wanted to focus on him and not he background. The creative device I used for this is focus.
Jehan Atoe, senior at UW swims at Half Acre. She was taking laps back and forth to stay in shape. I think the creative device that’s used her is leading lines. The lines that she is between make me keep my eyes on her. My eyes also are in the direction to where she is swimming.
The sunset sets behind trees and buildings. This is my favorite shot because I didn’t plan it. I walked outside and figured I showed take it because I didn’t have any photos that were outside yet. The creative device used is the rule of 3. Because it shows the trees, sunset and the building equally.
Zachary Berg in the training room trying to get better before spring ball approaches. Zach was injured while snow boarding about a week ago. I like this picture because you can see the bruise if you look beneath the ice pack. The bruise is yellowish and I didn’t think it would be visible until I showed him the picture and he brought it to my attention. I think the creative device in this is just focus because the phone just focuses on him.
